WThis is a home-style interpretation of a cocktail from a new cocktail list. This is a party-sized premix that's loaded full of flavours of a Christmas time, which makes it ideal for hosting a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining cordial for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix additional servings of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Yields 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed components into a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the stove and let it to cool entirely. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to one month.
To make Batch Mix: Combine all the liquids into a big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it , ideally through cheesecloth, so it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base to a stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate gently for one minute to chill. Filter into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries adding the final touch with a light spray of mandarin oil over the top.
